I believe electric car conversions in Kenya were started back in 2011 by Eng. Thigiru. In recent years especially from the year 2020, there has been numerous people being able to convert a normal car into electric simply because there are numerous plug and play components in the market today. Back in 2011, there were no suppliers of lithium iron batteries and so Mr. Thigiru was forced to make a battery bank of 16,000 lithium-ion batteries from laptop batteries. He made an axial flux motor and a controller although the project had a few hiccups especially with the second generation electronics components which would wear out easily.
An electric car comprises of a battery bank, at least one electric motor and a motor controller which regulates the amount of the needed energy at any given time. Its needless to say that you need a donor vehicle if you do not intend to be a car manufacturer like Mr. Elon Musk.
Our electric car conversion is a patented invention that comprises of low voltages-high current topology as well as the use of the compressed air. Our current electric vehicle conversion is more of an electric-air-hydrogen hybrid also known as EAH Hybrid.
